You know it’s a great wedding when you leave wishing you were part of the family. Because that’s definitely what I felt as I said goodbye to the new Mr and Mrs Thomas and also to Maddie’s mom and sisters! These are the weddings I would shoot again and again and again!
When I arrived on that chilly morning, I met Margie, mother of the bride, in the lobby and as soon as we started talking, I felt right at home! She felt like the mother of a friend I had grown up with! And as if that wasn’t the best way to start the day, I was smothered with even more hospitality and warmth as we walked into the Presidential Suite at the Hilton. Liz immediately introduced herself to me as the bride’s sister and said “I’ve been stalking you on social media for a while now so I feel like I already know you!” << THIS — This is why I market the way I do so I don’t feel like a stranger to this close-knit group of my bride’s tribe!
| Brief sidenote: I highly encourage ALL BRIDESMAIDS to follow your bestie’s photographer before the wedding! 1: You’ll see sneak peeks as soon as their published and 2: you’ll know what to expect when she arrives! Ok, back to the Thomas story! |
Liz, Maddie’s other sister, Emmy, and her bridesmaids, Lex, Julia and Kathryn were legit my kind of people!! This wedding party was SO FUN and I absolutely LOVED spending the day with these people! You’ll see the fun that was had in the photos!
I am so so soo thankful our paths crossed. I knew I liked you during your engagement session and knew shooting your wedding would be so much fun. You two are an absolute joy to be around and truly wonderful human beings! It was an honor to capture your day and celebrate alongside you as you committed your lives to one another! I know you both are sipping drinks on the beach but hopefully, you’ll grab some champagne and relive your day through my favorites — I had so many!! I just love you both to pieces and wish you both the very best! Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas!
Maddie’s veil was HANDMADE by her grandmother and the lace that trims the edges is from Margie’s wedding dress!
This might be my favorite bride getting ready portraits I’ve ever taken!! If this were me, it’d be framed and on my husband’s bedside table!
Taking Ronnie to the First Look… I had to throw this in here for a reference to the height of my couple!! With their tall friends, you really can’t tell in photos, but I mean, I am 5’7″ (with a wedge on) and I legit look 4 feet tall here
Maddie, girl, you are STUNNING!!
Dad seeing his baby girl on her wedding day! Maddie is the youngest (and tallest) of three sisters!
UGH! This pulls my heartstrings SO HARD! One last touch as he gives her away … TEARS!
I’d like you all to meet my new friends, Julia, Lex and Kathryn, who were by far the best entertainment on the dance floor — especially during Ke$ha’s ‘Timber’ in this photo haha!
Maddie, Ronnie — can we be friends for life? I just love you guys!! And your friends!! And your family!! Congratulations!!
