There’s always a bit of a struggle when it comes to shooting engagement sessions in this late-winter / mid-spring time in Indiana. First of all, everything is still pretty brown and ‘dead-looking’ but we’re starting to see little sprigs of green popping up! But the worst part is how unpredictable the temperature can be! We can have 70 and sunny in early March and then cold and windy at the end of April. Well, guess which one we had? YUP — cold and windy.

Welcome to the RCP Vendor Spotlight Series! I am so excited to connect with local vendors to not only grow my network of friends in the industry but, more importantly, to provide my current and potential brides with the inside scoop! I truly believe in being a means for education when it comes to planning their day because it truly takes a village to put this thing together. And having Bailey and I are on your side, you’re pretty much SET!

My favorites from Rose Courts Weddings. From the diamond-studded heels to the sparkler exit! I don’t even know where to begin when it comes to looking back on this year. It’s been full of so many beautiful days I got to share with beautiful people and THEE LOVELIEST Rose Courts couples! I mean, it can’t get much better than that, right?? (But a lot of photographers I follow say it always does!) It has been a dream come true to shoot these beautiful weddings this year. It was so fun to look back through all my work from 2019.

When I walked into the house to see the bride and start shooting this Union 12 wedding, I walked into the most peaceful bridal suite ever. Jordian’s sweet sister was finishing up the bridal hair, her bridesmaids were getting ready themselves and there was no music. Just a soft, quiet room full of girls getting ready! The atmosphere was joyful and calm.

Classic, Elegant, Timeless — I had a vision — black and white with greenery. I saw a venue with so much character that it needed no decorations. I saw white everything — white chairs, white linens, white roses and only greenery on the tables. I dreamed of a timeless wedding — black suits, black bridesmaids dresses and me in a classic, sophisticated ivory gown.
