Unique, Modern, Industrial, Classy Indiana Wedding Venues
To all those brides-to-be who DON’T want a barn wedding, I’m talking to you on this one! Here in the midwest, barn venues are everywhere! Personally, when it came to planning MY OWN WEDDING, a barn was the last thing I wanted. I wanted a place I wouldn’t have to decorate but would make a statement with its own character. So if you’re a bride with a classic style and looking for a wedding venue with an elegant, modern or industrial chic look then check out my favorite Indiana wedding venues with no rustic feel!
Let me start by saying this was seriously tough to put them in order because I adore the look of all of these venues! We’ve got brick, marble, tile, chandeliers, ballrooms — everything but BARN. Be sure to read through through the whole list to see the DISCOUNTS offered at some! Disclaimer: I’m not opposed to barn venues I just love this style personally, hence why I’m getting married at #7 🙂 Also, these are not my images, they were found on the venue’s website or watermarked by the photographer.
Be sure to check out PART II linked at the bottom for ten more amazing venues in the Midwest!
#10 Baker Street Station Fort Wayne, Indiana
Baker Street Station is the only one on the list that I have actually shot at (gimme a break, I’ve only been shooting weddings since February 2018 so I haven’t gotten around yet!) and it’s one of my favorites to shoot at in Fort Wayne! The bright brick and soaring ceilings give your day a classic and timeless look! I can’t wait for the RC Wedding here next July! Check out the Ray wedding here.
#9 INDUSTRY Indianapolis, Indiana
If you’re like me, you want an Indiana wedding venue that speaks for itself so there’s no need to decorate. INDUSTRY by 828 Venues offers all the modern industrial feels with its exposed brick walls and wooden accents sprinkled throughout. This venue is awesome and offers plenty of space of those couples with a LOT of friends!
#8 Biltwell Event Center Indianapolis, Indiana
The Biltwell is like INDUSTRY but with lighter walls, more windows and a ROOFTOP PATIO. Yes…..rooftop patio! AND this place can hold 600 PEOPLE! Talk about a massive space! And if you don’t need that much room, this venue has five different spaces to rent all with different personalities! If you’re not wanting a barn wedding, you’ve got to give this place a look-over!
#7 The White Rose Decatur, Indiana
The White Rose is a new Indiana wedding venue that just held it’s the first wedding in September of 2018 and I’m so glad I found it for MY wedding! This venue is large, bright and needs no extravagant decorations and that’s exactly what I wanted! It’s industrial and unique without being too dark. This was the venue of my dreams for my wedding!
#6 The Hobson Kokomo, Indiana
The Hobson is a stunning vintage, ballroom-style venue and officially on my list of venues to shoot at! I had no idea Kokomo had something like this! The tall ceilings and large windows make this venue on my radar to shoot at!
#5 BASH Carmel, Indiana
828 Venues creates some rad places and BASH is my favorite one in Indiana! The white shiplap paired with the industrial ceiling makes shiplap look far from rustic! The cafe lights strung across the entire space really sets it off. This place holds 200 guests comfortably and the two overhead doors make it easy to overflow outside!
#4 The Black Iris Estate Carmel, Indiana
As much as a venue with the word “black” in the name would make me think it’s opposite of my style, it’s NOT. The Black Iris Estate;s ballroom is bright, classy and historic and take a look at those chandeliers!! Another perk is the grounds offer a ton of portrait locations!
#3 The Ritz Charles Garden Pavilion Carmel, Indiana
The Ritz Charles has several venues in central Indiana with my favorite being the Garden Pavilion. This space offers a fully naturally lit “indoor” space. Natural light is my go-to and most photographers will agree, so a 100% natural light indoor reception space is a dream come true!
#2 Bread & Chocolate Goshen, Indiana
I’m honestly a little sad I’m not getting married here. It was a tough decision but Bread & Chocolate comes in as a very close runner-up on my list. This place is a light & airy photographer’s dream. The exposed brick makes a statement and the white paint and beams really brighten up this venue! Since I’m not getting married at this Indiana wedding venue, I at least shoot weddings here! I absolutely love the style of B&C and know I would just love any RC couple who choose to marry here!
#1 Laurel Hall Indianapolis, Indiana
This was a very tough decision but after lots of thought and consideration, Laurel Hall tops the list of my favorite Indiana wedding venues! This mansion is on the north side of Indy and I’m officially dying to shoot here! I mean just look at the images on their site, talk about GORGEOUS. It reminds of the venues my photog idol, Katelyn James, gets to shoot at in historic Virginia (which is one thing I’m always super jealous of!). I wasn’t even aware this place existed in Indiana!
Did any of these spark your interest?? Are you ready to be an RC Bride?! Contact me here and let’s chat about your wedding dreams!! I’d love to hear about other Indiana wedding venues that I missed!
